The challenge on this project was the steep and very aged roof condition. The homeowner did not want to reroof as he felt the PV panels would extend the roof’s life which it has. This project was also very small at only 12 panels so Enphase microinverters were selected. The roof has open beams underneath, and the panels have passively cooled the room below 5-10 degrees F year-round.
